My friend was complaining of the blistering cold.
Temperature is subzero.
The chill piercing sharp into the bones.
They stayed mostly indoors. Not wanting to leave the comfy home where heater is on, where they can snuggle up under the covers, sipping hot tea.

Ironically, at the same time, another friend wailed of the unbearable heat.
Melbourne, in the day reached to a height of 43 degrees and 38 degrees at night.
I thank god that our temperature here is 10 degrees cooler.
I read another friend's msn comment and it was hilarious "We should be allowed to go nude!"
