From Takeshi to Yutaka to Fukuyama

My Japanese series craze is back!

My Jap VCD series, although safely hidden from my reach for 5 years, was unearthed in a simple CNY spring cleaning, returning the devil in me. A devilsh obsession; the manic habit of finishing the series in a matter of 2-3 working days or within 1 non-working day.

After indulging in one box series, I'm craving for more and more and more of these series. Die! I even made a mental note to hunt for a new Jap series this Saturday. The unfortunate case of me having a class in Midvalley every Saturday.

As before, a huge side affect of the disease arose; the idolisation of those few Jap actors......

Takeshi Kaneshiro

Japanese by name but more Taiwanese than Jap. Nonetheless, his big Jap hit was in 'God, Please give me more time' with Kyoko Fukada. Soppy show but touching......arrrgghhh....tissue please.

What I like about him? His eyes!! Gorgeous!!! And also, he's multi-lingual. Fluent in Chinese (Of course. He grew up in Taipei) and Japanese (Of course. He's born a Jap.), while English and Cantonese is passable.

Sadly, he's more towards Hong Kong movies but he's absolutedly great in 'Confessions of Pain' and not forgetting 'Red Cliff I & II'.

Yutaka Takenouchi

You should recognise him from 'Beach Boys' but he was much younger back then. I prefer his older look. The picture above was taken in 'Rondo' (2006). Not really a fan of 'Beach Boys', I prefer him in 'Ice World' and 'Rondo'; in both shows he almost got killed. (Laughs.... why do I like to see him killed???)

Fukuyama Masaharu

I only liked one of his shows. But that one show ('Not so Perfect Love') already made me go down on my knees. I like him in comedies because he's got the most adorable smile.

Ok ok, enough of all these......
